Description: The rollicking country swing of The Sweetback Sisters is as infectious as it is heartbreaking. They sing country songs in close, surrogate-sister harmony...and matching dresses. Their repertoire combines several of the Sisters’ passions - country music from before they were born and new interpretations of those traditions - to create on a new take on what it means to be country. Their whimsical exterior is wrapped around a core of deeply felt love for traditional country music styles and a palpable joy in playing and singing together.
Their debut album in 2007 earned them a spot on Prairie Home Companion’s talent contest for twenty-somethings.

Multi-instrumentalists, great physical comics, and fluently bilingual, this duo from Prince Edward Island, Canada has played to standing ovations both at home, across Canada and overseas. Their performances bring to life an energetic blend of visual humor and quick wit combined with the upbeat foot-stomping music and dance of their indigenous Acadian roots. The fiddle and feet have always been instruments of choice in Evangeline region but in addition their show includes guitar and percussion (spoons, jaw harp, knives, forks, saw and rhythm bones, and, of course, audience participation!
Chuck & Albert believe two things: that every situation, no matter how grim, will be happily resolved; and that Chuck, who is 39 years old, will never be able to do his own laundry.
