There are more than 125 porchfests held all around North America and Music on the Delaware is in the initial planning stages to add Walton to the list on June 15th, 2024.

What is Porchfest? It is a free event with musicians playing on porches or at different venues. Maps will be provided to show who is playing where and when, and people walk to the different venues to listen to the variety of music being played.

What’s involved? Although this is being sponsored by Music on the Delaware, community involvement is critical in the planning stage as well as leading up to Porchfest and on the day of Porchfest. We need volunteers to make this a successful event!

We are seeking volunteers for the following:

Planning the event with the Porchfest committee
Musicians and bands interested in performing during Porchfest - all genres welcome
Venues and porches for performances
Audio equipment and/or knowledge to assist during planning and day-of event
Event volunteers to help with set-up, day-of, and tear-down
